Beyond Roe: Intersection of Abortion Access, Economic Justice and Religious Liberty

  • Date: January 28, 2024 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Location: Virtual Event - See Below for Registration Link

Join the City of West Hollywood, “America’s First Pro Choice City” and its Women's Advisory Board; National Council of Jewish Women | LA; Planned Parenthood Los Angeles; Black Women for Wellness and California for Reproductive Freedom for a thought-provoking and enlightening event that delves into the intersection of abortion access, economic justice, and religious liberty.

It’s been over a year since the U.S. Supreme Court eliminated the constitutional right to abortion. In today's complex world, these topics are more interconnected than ever before, and it's crucial to explore the multifaceted aspects surrounding them. Join experts, advocates, and thought leaders to engage in a meaningful discussion, and you are invited to be a part of this critical conversation!

The event will be hosted by Gabrielle Brown, Program Coordinator for the Maternal and Infant Health program at Black Women for Wellness and will feature a virtual keynote address by Rabbi Mira Rivera, Rabbi-in-Residence, JCC Harlem and the first Filipina-American woman to be ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary. The keynote will be followed by virtual breakout sessions for small group conversations.

Tickets:  $15 donation

All proceeds raised will support individuals needing cash assistance related to economic costs or abortion medication.

Complimentary tickets are also available upon request.
