(Cancelled) Historic Preservation Commission Special Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the City of West Hollywood’s specially scheduled Historic Preservation Commission meeting at 7:00 p.m. has been canceled for Monday, January 29, 2024, due to a lack of agenda items.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the legally noticed public hearing notated below will be officially continued from Monday, January 29, 2024 to Monday, February 26, 2024.

PUBLIC HEARING ITEM.
10.A.   8433 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, California (COMEDY STORE):
SUBJECT:  The proposal for a new two-sided digital billboard at 8433 Sunset (The Comedy Store). The Historic Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing and provide a recommendation to the Planning Commission and City Council regarding the approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness for changes to the cultural resource located on the same property. In addition, the Commission will review any potential adverse impacts to the adjacent historic property at 8439 Sunset (Piazza del Sol).

 ADJOURNMENT.  The Historic Preservation Commission adjourned to a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, February 26, 2024 beginning at 7:00 P.M. until completion at Plummer Park Community Center, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard, Rooms 5 & 6, West Hollywood, California.

 


Meetings of the Historic Preservation Commission are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Historic Preservation Commission (formerly Cultural Heritage Commission) was created on November 6, 1989 and consists of five (5) members appointed directly by a Councilmember, and two (2) members appointed by the Council as a whole (at-large). All members appointed shall serve a two-year term commencing on June 1st following a general election. Members shall have a significant interest in the City such as residency, business or residential ownership, economic involvement or some other valid link to be determined by the City Council. All members of the Commission shall have a demonstrated interest or competence in, or knowledge of, historic preservation and the cultural resources of the City. Commission members shall not be officers or employees of the City.
