Making My Smartphone Work For Me | Staying Safe On Your Phone | In-Person

The City of West Hollywood's Aging in Place, Aging in Community Strategic Plan has launched the "be Well WeHo" program to promote wellness at any age. The "be Well WeHo" program features the "Making My Smartphone Work for Me" workshop, which takes place in person on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 12 pm. This workshop aims to discuss topics associated with common cell phone features. Let us assist you in customizing your iPhone or Android smartphone to make it work better for you!

Learn how to stay safe on your phone. We'll tackle scam and phishing texts and calls, navigate the risks of public Wi-Fi, and protect your device from malware. Keep your phone and personal information secure with these essential safety tips!

About the Instructor: Monica Dunahee has taught a UCLA Memory Training workshop for more than ten years to a wide variety of audiences of all ages. A self-confessed geek, she has also written and taught a wide variety of computer classes and served on the American Society on Aging's Lifelong Learning Committee.
