The proposed project would demolish all buildings on site, including an existing 1,528 square foot restaurant/bar, on the Sunset Strip to create a dynamic new 8,383 square foot, four-story commercial building with ground-floor dining and outdoor dining, offices, open space and a state-of-the-art digital sign built into the façade. Located on a corner lot at the northerly side of West Sunset Boulevard at the westerly side of North Sweetzer Avenue, the project received a first-round concept award in the City’s Sunset Arts & Advertising Program to construct what the City described as “a landmark that [will] signal to vehicles and pedestrians the world-famous location they are entering.”
The property is comprised of one parcel, APN 5555-023-026, approximately 5,237 square feet in size. A second property approximately 400 feet to the southwest on Sunset Boulevard will serve as parking for the project.
