Naming Standing Subcommittee Teleconference Meeting

The Naming Standing Subcommittee - consisting of the Mayor, Mayor-Pro Tempore, City Manager, Chair of the Public Facilities Commission, and Facilities and Recreation Services Department Director (Note: current title is Department of Public Works Director) - shall review each naming request submitted to the City Clerk. Those requests, as determined by the Committee to be complete and meeting the intent and purpose of the established Naming Policy, shall be transmitted to the City Council as a formal item on the agenda for consideration. This Subcommittee was established by Council Resolution No. 21-5376 for the purpose of creating a “formal policy and uniform procedures regarding the nomination, consideration, justification and review of naming City-owned or leased land, buildings or facilities.”
