Jessica Goehring will present LightWave, a kinetic artwork comprised of two layers, artwork on aluminum with an organza overlay, at the West Hollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center from March 2023 - March 2024.
LightWave, a kinetic work inspired by the California Light and Space Movement, is comprised of two layers, together creating a geometric aesthetic. A hanging organza screen of the LightWave image rests upon the same image digitally printed on metal. The personas combined will give the piece a holographic quality, like the effect of lenticular photography in a sculptural form. The hanging organza screen is atmospheric, allowing for the movement of the wind. This ethereal interchange will activate the geometric piece as well as the physical space it’s hanging on.
