Join the City of West Hollywood and its Women's Advisory Board for PROJECT BLACKBIRD - A Film Screening & Conversation About Mental Health featuring the award-winning short film "Blackbird". Project Blackbird is an awareness program created to shine a light on mental health struggles and to de-stigmatize discussion around mental health. Based on a true story, in the film Blackbird two women in treatment grapple with their different experiences navigating an eating disorder. There will be a discussion with the two women whom the film is about, discussing their different experiences with an eating disorder and how each of them navigated recovery along with other speakers sharing their stories of hope and resilience. There will be mental health and wellness resources available plus fun giveaways! Attendees are invited to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the West Hollywood Food &Toy Drive. The event is free and open to the public!
