The Transgender Advisory Board was created on October 19, 2009 and is comprised of five (5) members appointed by individual Councilmembers and four (4) members appointed by the Council as a whole (at-large). The Transgender Advisory Board addresses matters relating to advocacy on behalf of transgender rights such as education, community awareness, and empowerment and makes recommendations to Council relative to the adoption of programs, policies or ordinances of benefit to the constituency. All Board meetings are open to the public.
