Pet Week Panel Discussion: Holistic Veterinary Care and Alternative Remedies

Please join us for a special discussion regarding holistic veterinary care and alternative remedies featuring Dr. Heather Oxford, DVM, MPH, CCRT, CVA, Dr. Lindsey Wendt, DVM, CVA, CVFT and Nicole Ellis, certified professional dog trainer.
Dr. Oxford is an acupuncture and rehabilitation veterinarian focused on mobile integrative holistic veterinary medicine to improve health, optimize performance, and accelerate healing for small animals. Dr. Wendt is the owner and creator of Crystal Lotus Veterinary Care, which focuses on providing individually focused holistic health care to pets in the comfort of their homes. Nicole Ellis a certified professional dog trainer, pet lifestyle expert and co-author of Working Like a Dog. Using positive reinforcement methods, Nicole has trained thousands of animals from basic behavior and puppy manners, to trick training, therapy work, and service dog training.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Mayor Lauren Meister and Mayor Pro Temp Sepi Shyne.
The discussion will focus on several topics, including:
- Health and Wellness of Pets
- Holistic care and alternative remedies such as acupuncture, laser therapy, food therapy, and integrative medicine.
- Dealing with separation distress and anxiety
- Positive reinforcement training methods
