IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH AND PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS), AB 361 HAS AUTHORIZED PUBLIC MEETINGS TO TAKE PLACE VIA TELECONFERENCE BECAUSE STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS ARE RECOMMENDING MEASURES TO PROMOTE SOCIAL DISTANCING.
This is a neighborhood meeting regarding public benefits of the proposed mixed-use development at 8850 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 18-5016, development projects that request deviations from base development standards such as height and density are required to provide public benefits to offset any impacts of that request. The City is hosting a community meeting to solicit comments regarding neighborhood priorities and the public benefits to be provided by the proposed development at 8850 Sunset Boulevard.
The proposed development includes the demolition of all existing structures on the 0.9-acre site and construction of a twelve-story, up to 175 feet tall, and approximately 400,000 square-foot building containing a 113 guestroom hotel with ancillary uses, multiple restaurants, a nightclub, and 34 residences over a subterranean garage with 223 parking spaces.
