At 10:20 a.m. join millions of Californians participate in the largest earthquake drill ever! The purpose of the ShakeOut is to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to get prepared at work, school, and home. Major earthquakes can cause unprecedented catastrophes. With earthquakes as an inevitable part of our future, people should make plans and take actions to ensure that disasters do not become catastrophes. What we do now, will determine what our lives will be like afterwards.
