Event Description
The City of West Hollywood will host a panel discussion on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health during COVID-19 and beyond as we begin to emerge from this difficult time.
As the COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues and the State, County, and City continue to re-open, many individuals are still struggling with the emotional and mental ramifications of the past year. Individuals have experienced trauma whether from their own health issues or serving as a caretaker for others, social isolation and loneliness, loss of a job or economic hardship, and many other factors that have made this time challenging. As we begin to re-open the economy and society, there are added stresses related to going “back to normal” – what does normal look like and what does it mean personally and professionally. Addressing these impacts on our wellbeing – in addition to addressing impacts on health and economic recovery – are crucial to the re-opening of society.
Panelists include:
Reverend Karen Frost, Speaker, Counselor, Religious Science Minister
Dr. Lauren D. Costine, PhD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Susan Isaacs. Certified Professional Dog Trainer
Rashad El Amin, Co-Founder, Foxy & Fierce Kickboxing Bootcamp
Sepi Shyne, West Hollywood Councilmember (Moderator)
