The City Council and Public Safety Commission will present the Public Safety Awards: Deputy of the Year, Deputy Randall Slate; Fire Fighter Specialist Jason Vasquez (and his German Shepherd partner Maverick); Public Safety Volunteer of the Year, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Reserve Task Force; and Outstanding Contribution to Public Safety, Roger Aguirre.
