In celebration of Transgender Day of Visibility, Invertigo Dance Theatre invites you to walk the borders of gendered embodiment in its newsest dance theatre project: Walk the Walk. The first community theatre workshop takes place on March 31st, 5:30 - 9p on Zoom. Twenty-five participants chosen from an open application process will collaborate in a brave, exploratory space where stories, movement, and pedestrian choreographies weave a collective tale of our daily walk as trans, nonbinary, intersex, and gender nonconforming people. Apply to participate by Monday March 22nd. BIPOC, disabled, youth, and elders encouraged to apply. No previous experience with storytelling / writing / movement is required. Accepted applicants receive a $50 commission for your creative participation. The project is funded in part by the Transgender Arts Initiative Grant from the City of West Hollywood.
