The City of West Hollywood and its Human Services Commission will host the 20th Annual Paul Andrew Starke Warrior Awards on World AIDS Day, December 1, at 7pm. The awards will be presented to staff and volunteers of local organizations who provide outstanding HIV/AIDS and substance abuse prevention and care services.

The 2020 honorees are:
• Chris Aguilar, Los Angeles LGBT Center
• Garry Bowie, Being Alive 
• Liza Marie Ceballos, TransLatin@ Coalition
• Cheryl Hoffman, Friends Research Institute
• Emmanuel Sanchez-Ramos, APLA Health
• Spencer Shelton, AIDS Healthcare Foundation

In addition to the Warrior Awards, there are other events commemorating World AIDS Day:  
November 17 through December 31 - ONE Archives Foundation will display an outdoor installation of HIV/AIDS posters and images from the ONE Archives collection. To be displayed on the temporary construction fencing surrounding West Hollywood Park and the corner of Robertson and Santa Monica Boulevards.
December 1 - The Alliance for Housing and Healing will place flowers on each of the memorial plaques along Santa Monica Boulevard.
