Summary

On May 29, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health released a revised order allowing for indoor dining at 60% capacity. In response, with input from the City’s business community, the West Hollywood City Council adopted an Urgency Ordinance to allow for temporary outdoor expansion for restaurant and food establishments to ensure social (physical) distancing.

The webinar will go through the application process and required documents to obtaining a Temporary Outdoor Expansion Permit. City staff will also be available to answer technical assistance questions and provide information about resources for businesses to safety expand operations into the public right-of-way and/or adjacent or nearby private properties to expand business operations on sidewalks, on-street parking spaces, and off-street parking lots.

The City of West Hollywood has issued an Emergency Executive Order aimed at assisting businesses and workers and has produced a toolkit for businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis.
