Please join us for a General Plan Update Community Meeting: Mixed-Use Development on Santa Monica Boulevard. You are invited to join community members, staff, and consultants for a focused discussion of policies in the Draft General Plan about future mixed-use development on Santa Monica Boulevard. What is mixed-use? A mixed-use building combines both commercial and residential uses, where the residential spaces are typically located above the commercial. What is the General Plan? It’s a policy document that defines how the City manages its physical, economic, and human resources. You can view a copy of the Draft General Plan at City Hall, or download it from our website. Next steps: Input from the Community Meeting will be considered by the City Council at a public hearing on August 15. We anticipate that the City Council will formally adopt the General Plan in September.
