Metro Outreach Meeting for the Crenshaw/LAX Rail Line Northern Extension

The City of West Hollywood is getting the word out that Metro is inviting members of the public to provide input about the Crenshaw/LAX Northern Extension rail line, which will provide critical north-south connections and enhance the existing Metro regional rail network.

During October, Metro will be holding four outreach meetings throughout the region, including one in West Hollywood. The City of West Hollywood has, for approximately four years, been working with West Hollywood Advocates for Metro Rail (WHAM) and the All on Board Coalition to build support for the Metro rail line Northern Extension to connect the Crenshaw/LAX rail line with Mid-City, West Hollywood, and the Metro Red Line station at Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood and enhance the existing Metro regional rail network.

The City of West Hollywood and its coalition partners are encouraging community members to make their voices heard as momentum continues to build to accelerate the completion of the Crenshaw/LAX rail line Northern Extension to 2028, instead of 2047, in time for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics and Paralympics.

Metro has released a new video — ‘Crenshaw Northern Extension – Overview’ — on the Metro Los Angeles YouTube Channel highlighting the project; it is available at https://youtu.be/w21PlAUafZU. A one-minute video, #FinishTheLine, posted on the City’s WeHoTV YouTube channel, maps-out the benefits of the Northern Extension of the Crenshaw/LAX rail line https://youtu.be/nPenhILOd0M and WeHo on the Go highlights the benefits of accelerating the project https://youtu.be/TOg-R21mQjs.
