October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Join the City of West Hollywood and its Women’s Advisory Board for a special awareness event about domestic violence, custody and the family court. Featuring a screening of the documentary film What Doesn’t Kill Me, by Rachel Meyrick, about domestic violence and the battle for custody. Following the film screening there will be a panel discussion with survivors, advocates and legal experts about the issue of court-related abuse, in which perpetrators of domestic violence use the family court as a means of maintaining contact with their victims in order to continue to abuse them.
