This Bicycle Education Safety Workshop will cover bicycling basics and will show participants how to improve their bike control skills. Participants will gain a sense of confidence to get on a bike for everyday travel or recreation. This class is ideal for people who know how to ride a bike, but who are not very comfortable getting on a bike. Course topics will include: biking necessities (helmet fit, lights/reflectors, locks, clothing), pre-ride checklist, basic bike handling skills, bike services, and events offered by Metro; the class will be 1.25 hours (off-bike: 30 min/ on-bike: 45 min).
The Bicycle Education Safety Workshop series is co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood, Metro, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, the West Hollywood Bicycle Coalition, and the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.
