Visual and performance artists, curators, writers, architects, designers, urban planners and social activists are invited to attend a one-day public intervention workshop. The workshop is a space for artists to design potential interventions. Interventions may take the form of tours, tactical and site performance, temporal intstallations, video or sound projections, digital platforms, community involved projects, peer-to-peer platforms, print or online publication, or a street event. Ed welcomes artists with no prior public art experience, who are interested in moving from the traditional studio, gallery and treatre space into the urban arena.
Working with the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division to develop a future Art in Odd Places West Hollywood, Ed Woodham, founder and director of Art in Odd Places (New York City) will host an Artist Talk (July 24) and Public Intervention Workshop (July 26) at a Pop-Up Space under the Eveleigh Restaurant in West Hollywood.
