MLK Day of Service and Free Shuttle to Hollywood & Highland for Metro to the Women’s March in Downtown LA

Two exciting opportunities for action and giving back to the community will be available for West Hollywood residents on Saturday, January 19, 2019: the 2019 City of West Hollywood Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service event, and the Cityline Commuter’s free, ADA-Accessible special service for the Women’s Day March Los Angeles - both at West Hollywood Park, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.

On that day, the Cityline Commuter, the City of West Hollywood’s free mini-bus service for commuters, will operate a free, ADA-accessible special service for the Women’s March Los Angeles, which will take place in Downtown Los Angeles from Pershing Square to City of Los Angeles, City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Cityline Commuter will connect West Hollywood residents from West Hollywood Park to the Metro Red Line rail on Hollywood/Highland. Riders will then be able to ride the Metro Red Line rail, which has stations at Pershing Square and at City of Los Angeles City Hall. Shuttle service will be held at approximately 15- to 30-minute intervals. The Cityline Commuter will depart from West Hollywood Park around 7 a.m. with the last shuttle leaving at approximately 8:45 a.m. Returns from the Hollywood/Highland Red Line Station into West Hollywood will begin approximately at 1:30 p.m. with the last shuttle departing at approximately 4:15 p.m. These times are approximate. A finalized timetable will be available during the week leading to Saturday, January 19. Interested riders are highly encouraged to visit www.weho.org or subscribe to the City’s social media channels to receive finalized timetables as soon as they are released.
