For the 17th straight year, Metro will be partnering with local communities to celebrate all things bike. The City of West Hollywood will be sponsoring a pit stop location from 6 a.m. -9 a.m. at San Vicente & Santa Monica Boulevard (south side of the street).
Bike to Work Day is the highlight of Bike to Work Week, which runs from May 16 – 20. There are special events planned throughout the region all week long, including the annual “blessing of the bicycles” at Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday, May 17 at 8 a.m. Get a free bike check and breakfast!
This year safety is the theme of Bike to Work Week, and new opportunities will be offered for riders to learn road safety firsthand. When you pledge to ride on Bike to Work Day, you automatically get entered in a drawing for prizes, and show that bicyclists count. Many public transportation providers will be offering free rides to cyclists who board with their bikes and/or helmets on May 19 (it still counts if you bike and take transit to work!).
