The City of West Hollywood’s Russian Advisory Board and the Russian-speaking Veterans of WWII will co-sponsor a celebration of the 66th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on Sunday, May 8, 2011 starting at 11 a.m. at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard.
A ceremony will be held to honor West Hollywood and Greater Los Angeles area residents and citizens that are veterans who fought during WWII against the Nazis and have contributed significantly to the City of West Hollywood, socially, culturally and civically. The ceremony will also pay tribute to individuals that lost their lives during the war. The event will have live entertainment, and is free and open to the public.
