MOCA Art Talk: Barbara Bloom in conversation with curator Rebecca Matalon
D'cor: Barbara Bloom, Andrea Fraser, Louise Lawler presents works from MOCA's permanent collection that play with the presentation and display of art, including Bloom's rarely seen The Reign of Narcissism (1988-89). On view at the museum for the first time in over twenty years, the large-scale installation was commissioned for MOCA's celebrated 1989 exhibition A Forest of Signs: Art in the Crisis of Representation. On the occasion of D'cor, the New York-based artist joins Curatorial Associate Rebecca Matalon to discuss the history of the work and, more broadly, her conceptually minded approach to art making.
FREE Admission. Priority tickets are available to MOCA members one hour before the program. Fifteen minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
