Arbor Day 2011 Community Tree Planting

The City of West Hollywood will hold an Arbor Day 2011 Community Tree Planting and plant fifteen Pink Trumpet trees on Saturday, April 16, 2011 starting at 9 a.m. along the north east corner of Romaine Street and Formosa Avenue. Tree planting volunteers do not need to have any prior planting experience. On-site training and supervision will be provided. The Community Tree Planting will start off with a short “how to” planting session and a discussion about the importance and value that trees play in our urban environment. In the past, tree planting efforts have left a positive legacy in West Hollywood and newly-planted trees provide many neighborhoods with new urban green spaces where none previously existed.
