Immortal Regiment March

  • Date: May 06, 2018 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Location: Fairfax Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard

The Immortal Regiment March is an act of admiration and remembrance of all who fought against the Nazis during World War II. Participants honor their relatives who fought the Nazis in World War II by carrying placards with photos of their relatives.

The Immortal Regiment was first held in the United States in 2015 in New York City, and has since then spread across the world.  In fact, Immortal Regiment activities had 12 million participants in Russia last year.  These marches go beyond politics: they show that we will never forget the sacrifices of World War II veterans.  With Fascism on the rise worldwide, the Immortal Regimen has taken on new and urgent meaning, as it honors those who fought and the millions who perished in the fight against fascism, and in the fight for human rights and freedoms.

The march will end in Plummer Park near the Veteran’s Memorial where participants will be able to meet and greet veterans, lay flowers and wreaths to the memorial, and share memories.
