On Thursday March 29th, JQ International will host “LGBTQ+ Persian Pride: Advocacy in Action”. This continuation of a series of panels started in partnership with the City of West Hollywood in 2016, and will feature an open panel discussion of activists bringing visibility and raising awareness of the LGBTQ Iranians, advocating for their full equality and embrace. The panel will consist of Iranian gay, lesbian, parent, therapist and ally activists who will share their coming out journeys and stories of supporting LGBTQ+ equality in the Persian community in diverse ways. The panel will close with an opportunity for Q & A with the audience, and will be followed with a dessert reception.
The event is free and open to the public.
Parking will be validated for the Five-Story Parking Structure adjacent to the City Council Chambers. The street address of the location is 625 North San Vicente Boulevard. This is also the address to use for cab pickup/drop-off, rideshares, etc.
