Economics is often at the heart of barriers that confronts the trans community. The Trans Professional Champions exhibit, organized by the Transgender Economic Empowerment Project of the LA LGBT Center, capitalizes on the current dialog around the evolution of gender identities by highlighting employers that promote inclusion and celebrating the successes of those in the trans community who thrive in the workplace undeterred by these barriers. This exhibit was funded in part through a Transgender Arts Initiative Grant from the City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Arts program, and by the Friends of the West Hollywood Library. It is on view on the main floor of the West Hollywood Library during regular library hours from March 20th to the end of March in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
