Co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood, the Parents Education League presents a talk on LAUSD’s GATE program. Join PEL for an essential and informative presentation by Dr. Lucy Hunt and Erin Yoshida-Ehrmann, GATE District Coordinators. This workshop will provide an overview for parents about the Los Angeles Unified School District gifted identification process, as well as District program options for gifted/talented, high ability, and potentially gifted learners. Topics covered will include the screening and referral process for identification in seven categories: High Achievement, Specific Academic Ability, Intellectual Ability, Creative Ability, Leadership Ability, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts.
