Five miles of Point Mugu State Park is along the beach. The park also extends inland, with over 70 miles of trails in the Santa Monica Mountains. La Jolla Canyon Group Camp is located on the inland side of Pacific Coast Highway (across from Thornhille Broome Beach) with flush toilets, hot showers, hiking trails, fishing, swimming and phone service.
