In conjunction with the exhibition "In West Hollywood" currently on view at the West Hollywood Library, please join the City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Arts program for a screening of the short film “Los Olvidados” followed by an artists’ talk with West Hollywood artists Ramiro Gomez and David Feldman.
Ramiro Gomez and David Feldman are West Hollywood residents whose artistic partnership stems from their relationship as a couple. Gomez briefly attended the California Institute of the Arts before leaving to work as a live-in nanny with a West Hollywood family, an experience that influenced his subsequent artistic practice. David Feldman, a photographer and filmmaker, has documented many of Gomez's art installations and created the short film "Los Olvidados" which documents Gomez's artistc process before, during and after a site-specific art installation installed in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona.
The City of West Hollywood is celebrating Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, an initiative of The Getty, with special thematic programming called WeHo Artes. This encompasses programming funded by The Getty Foundation, in addition to related projects presented by the City of West Hollywood such as this exhibit and artists' talk.
