Presented with support from the City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Arts program (www.weho.org/arts), Classical Theatre Lab presents a free staged reading of Shakespeare's Sonnets as part of the City's Free Theatre in the Parks program. RSVPs can be made by calling 323-960-5651, although they are not required. The sonnets are the most enduring love poems in English literature, Yet, the world well knows that love is blind. We explore the passion of the Poet, his Young Friend, and the Dark Lady, and examine the poet’s struggles to see beyond appearances, or agonize with him as he realizes that appearance and reality may be drastically different.
