Background: Over the last several months a Steering Committee comprised of businesses along Santa Monica Blvd. have met to explore the feasibility of a business improvement district (BID) and to develop ideas of how a BID could serve businesses in the area. The business community is invited to attend a meeting to learn about what the proposed BID would do for the business community and to solicit feedback.
What is a Business Improvement District? A Business Improvement District is a public/private partnership in which business owners elect to make a collective contribution to the maintenance, development and promotion of their commercial district. BIDs deliver a range of supplemental services in coordination with municipal services and invest in the long-term economic development of their districts.
Who should attend: Business owners along Santa Monica Blvd. and adjacent streets (between Doheny and La Cienega)
