This day marks the end of the Nazi Regime in Germany and the defeat of the German Army in Europe. May 7th is the remembrance of an estimated 50 million people who lost their lives over the course of World War II. This year the City will participate along with numerous other Countries in the Immortal Regiment March honoring the veterans of Victory in Europe Day. Please gather at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue at 9:30 AM. Bring portraits of your family members, friends, or love ones who participated in World War II.
There will be a shuttle for veterans who wish to participate in the march and have difficulty walking. The shuttle will depart from Plummer Park at 9 AM. The march will start at Fairfax Avenue and finish at Plummer Park.
Parking: Available in Plummer Park (7377 Santa Monica Boulevard) north and south lot. No parking in the Whole Food Parking lot. Cars will be towed from the Whole Foods Parking Lot.
