Following a triumph at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia competition, Ms. Poretsky engagements include: Pauline in Pique Dame, Anna in Maria Stuarda.

Suzuki in Madame Butterfly with Los Angeles Opera.  Among the mezzo-soprano’s other engagements in America are Pauline in Pique Dame,  the title role in Carmen with the Fort Worth Opera, Margret in Wozzeck with San Diego Opera, and concert performances of Rimsky-Korsakov’ in San Francisco Symphony.

She has been heard on the Metropolitan Opera stage as Magdalena in Rigoletto, Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos as well as in productions of Othello , Pique Dame, Die Ägyptische Helena, and Eugene Onegin.  In Europe, Ms. Poretsky was heard in production of Prokofiev’s War and Peace at the Paris Opera, as Adalgisa in Norma and Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, Fenena in Nabucco at the Arena di Verona, and the title role in Bizet’s Carmen with Theatre de la Monnaie in Brussels,  in Japan and in South Africa.

Susana Poretsky made her La Scala debut in Ariadne auf Naxos  and at the Mannheim National Theater as Marina Mnishek in Boris Godunov.  Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro at Italy, Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Wagner’s Götterdämmerung with the Rome Opera, and Adalgisa in Norma with the New Israeli Opera.
