The history of the golden age of Hollywood is rife with tales of the big legends: Garbo, Gable, Gaynor, Garland, Gish, and Grant, to name just a few. There would, however, be no Hollywood without a supporting cast of memorable character actors who may not have enjoyed the full limelight of their more legendary counterparts, but certainly contributed much color (and yes, character) to the golden age of Hollywood cinema.
Manny Pacheco, Southern California television and radio personality and also author of Forgotten Hollywood, Forgotten History: Starring the Great Character Actors of Hollywood's Golden Age, will present America’s story in Ken Burns style through the eyes of character actors from Hollywood’s Golden Age including Cesar Romero, Claude Rains, Frank Morgan, Walter Brennan, Katie Jurado, Lon Chaney, Jr. Basil Rathbone, Peter Lorre, and Marjorie Main.
Following the presentation, a trailer for Mr. Pacheco's upcoming Forgotten Hollywood documentary will be shown, followed by a book signing for interested patrons.
