WHAP! stands for the West Hollywood Aesthetics and Politics lecture series, which is supported by the City of West Hollywood through WeHo Arts (www.weho.org/arts). Rather than a boundless cyberspace, the Internet creates "echo chambers" and we seem trapped in ever smaller pigeon holes. This lecture by Wendy Hui Kyong Chun, Professor of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University, argues that we need to use critical concepts from the humanities to create more public and just online networks.
