Presented with the support of a grant from the City of West Hollywood through WeHo Arts (www.weho.org/arts). InkSlam Poetry Festival will take place August 16, 20, and 21. The first day of InkSlam, Tuesday, August 16, will take place during Da Poetry Lounge and will consist of an Indie Slam, the winner of which will go on to the next round. Day two, Saturday, August 20, is a jam packed day with an Ink'd Out workshop focused on the LGBT spoken word community, and the Poets' Round Table panel, which will be followed by the second and final night of the Indie Slam, in which 12 poets will compete for victory. The festival will end on Sunday, August 21, with a Youth Slam on the outdoor stage at Melrose Trading Post.
