Stuart Timmons (co-author of “Gay LA”) wrote several local LGBTQ History tours -- one each for DTLA and Silverlake, but he suffered a stroke before his West Hollywood LGBTQ History Tour was completed. Thanks to a team of helpers and a grant from the City of West Hollywood through One City One Pride, this tour was finished and updated last year. On June 4, the tour will be restaged with a cast of colorful characters from different eras stationed along the route. The tour starts from the loading zone at West Hollywood Park on San Vicente Boulevard. Tour groups will leave every 15 minutes from 11 am to 2 pm. The tour is free, and no RSVPs are taken. This program is presented with the support of the City of West Hollywood through WeHo Arts as part of the City's One City One Pride Arts Festival, which runs from May 22 - June 30, 2016 with the theme 'Into the Streets,' with a full day of FREE history and art events on June 4 in West Hollywood Park, including the Stuart Timmons' LGBTQ History Tour, Ian MacKinnon's Army of Lovers project, and Apt 3F's Art Out!
