MôForró plays accordion-driven, hip-swiveling dance music featuring accordion, guitar, fiddle, flute, zabumba (Brazilian drum), triangle, voice, and percussion. Since forming in late 2012, MôForró–along with the Forró in L.A. collective–has been integral to the growing popularity of forró as a dance genre throughout Southern California. MôForró has played in major cities throughout the US including San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, and New York and can be seen regularly at Trópico de Nopal Gallery and Art Space in Echo Park.
