'Cinema of Exile' is the theme of the 11th annual South East European Film Festival, SEEfest, set to run April 28 – May 5, 2016 at Ahrya Fine Arts and Music Hall in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood City Council Chambers and Library Community Meeting Room, and Macha Theater in West Hollywood; and the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles.
Funded through a grant from the City of West Hollywood through WeHo Arts, SEEfest 2016 screens over 40 recent films from South East Europe - ranging from a look behind the current refugee crisis to what its like being gay behind the Iron Curtain.
All screenings taking place in the West Hollywood City Council Chambers and Library Community Meeting Room will be free to attend. West Hollywood residents will enjoy a discounted $5 admission price to screenings in other venues.
