The League of Women’s Voters along with support from the Transgender Advisory Board is hosting a Trans* Voter Empowerment Event.  The event will include a video greeting from Congressman Adam Schiff, a place for people to register to vote, and  two workshops (one on voting basics, and a second workshop on overcoming barriers and difficulties that transgender individuals might face when registering and voting at the polls).  The workshop on overcoming barriers will be hosted by a panel that includes Michelle Dennis from the League of Women’s Voters, Drian Juarez from the City of West Hollywood Transgender Advisory Board, and a representative from the Los Angeles County Registrar’s Recorder Office.
