In 2011, the State enacted legislation that eliminated all redevelopment agencies in California.  Successor agencies were appointed to oversee the dissolution of each former redevelopment agency.   For West Hollywood, the City acts as the Successor Agency.  The Oversight Board must approve specific actions of the Successor Agency.
