October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic ViolenceIn recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the City of West Hollywood will, at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 in advance of its regular City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m., host a special screening of the music video, I Remember Nicole, a global anthem reclaiming power over domestic violence, which was produced by local filmmakers Renee Sotile and Mary Jo Godges, with supplemental funding provided by the City. The West Hollywood City Council will also present a proclamation commemorating National Domestic Violence Awareness Month to the filmmakers and to Tanya Brown, sister of Nicole Brown-Simpson whose marriage to OJ Simpson was alleged to have been rife with domestic violence. The City Council meeting will take place at the City of West Hollywood’s Council Chambers at the West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.
