The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Villa in Malibu now serves as an international educational center dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The Getty Villa houses the Roman, and Etruscan antiquities. Over 1,200 works are on view in 23 galleries devoted to the permanent collection, with five additional galleries for changing exhibitions. With objects dating from 6,500 B.C. to A.D. 400, the collection contains monumental sculptures as well as artifacts of everyday life such as vases, coins, sculptures, and jewelry. We will start our trip with a stop at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at the Santa Monica Pier for lunch (included). After lunch we will travel to the Getty Villa. Cost $38 per person.
