“Where Are We Now?: A Discussion of LGBT Rights Around the Globe”

As part of the City of West Hollywood Pride Month Programming, the West Hollywood Human Rights Speakers Series presents “Where Are We Now?: A Discussion of LGBT Rights Around the Globe” sponsored by the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, Burkle Center for International Relations at UCLA, The Williams Institute, Aibai Cultural and Education Center, Beijing Zuoyou Information Center and the City of West Hollywood. Panelists include: Charles Radcliffe, Chief, Global Issues Section, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR); Wesley J. Reisser, Ph.D., Foreign Affairs Officer, IO/HEH – Office of Human Rights & Humanitarian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State; Guo Ziyang, Executive Director, Beijing Zuoyou Information Center; Damiyen Lu, Translator for Mr. Ziyang and Board Member, Aibai Culture and Education Center; and moderated by West Hollywood City Councilmember John Heilman. A “Call to Action” dessert reception catered by La Conversation Café will immediately follow. Admission is free.
