Stories to be Told

Presented as part of the One City One Pride Queer Arts Festival. A fun and silly children’s show of original stories with gay-identified characters who go on adventures, battle monsters, and tell the truth. The most important truism: love is for everyone. The 4 stories are: Coyote and Berdache; Ginger and Mary-Anne; The Shoe, the Shrew, a Prince and a King; and the Sassy Scarf Story. David LeBarron performed in at the 2010 National Storyteller’s Conference and opened the LA Storytelling Festival. His work has been seen at the NYC and Hollywood Fringe Festivals. David recently completed the books: Any Given Day, a cultural exchange between students in Echo Park, Los Angeles and students in Rwanda, Africa, and his picture book “When Carrots Ruled the World.” He teaches and performs out of Los Angeles. Admission is free. Targeted for ages 1st through 5th graders, or just those young at heart. Validated parking available in the one-story parking structure.
