Interested in becoming more civically engaged and involved in your community? Register for the ATP!  The innovative Advocacy Training Project (ATP) created and produced by the National Council of Jewish Women|Los Angeles chapter will begin its eighth year with an online series to be held between September 2022 and January 2023. The ATP provides participants with hands-on advocacy skills, tools, experience, and guidance for anyone newly involved in advocacy. Participants spend their time learning a general overview of advocacy strategies and guidelines on implementing specific advocacy tactics. This year’s “Emerging ATP” series will include a focus on advocacy for guaranteed income programs and policies. Guaranteed income is a direct and regular cash payment – no strings attached – provided to a specific group of people for a designated time.  The City of West Hollywood is currently collaborating with National Council of Jewish Women|LA, for a pilot project for guaranteed income aimed at evaluating the impact of cash payments on the financial stability and quality of life of older adults.

Participants will be able to choose from two schedules:

  • Thursday Evenings from 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm start date September 22
  • Saturday Mornings from 10:00 am- 11:30 am  start date September 24

Registration Deadline:  September 20, 2022
