ShakespeareThe City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presented FREE Shakespeare in the Parks 2012 featuring Classical Theatre Lab’s production of Something of Silver a musical version of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice adapted and directed by Tony Tanner.

Tony-nominated (Best Director and Best Choreographer, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”), Tony Tanner presented his upbeat, 90-minute musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy. Tony Tanner adapted and directed 2011's musical version of William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It.”

Location: Great Hall Courtyard - Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. at Martel Ave. West Hollywood

Dates: August 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, (Saturdays and Sundays) at 4:00 P.M.
Location: Kings Road Park, 1000 N. Kings Rd. at Romaine St. West Hollywood

Although performances are free, seating is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. For reservations or more information, please call Classical Theatre Lab at 323/960-5691. For the deaf and hard of hearing, please call 323/848-6496.

For performances at Plummer Park, parking is available in the two Plummer Park parking lots at the north and south ends of the park as well as on adjacent streets.

For performances at Kings Road park, parking is available at Kings Road Parking Structure and on adjacent streets. (Please pay attention to on-street parking restrictions.)
